Big Bang, 2NE1 receive YouTube Music Awards
K-pop idol groups Big Bang and 2NE1 were nominated as award recipients of the second YouTube Music Awards, their management agency YG Entertainment said Tuesday.
YouTube revealed the list of this year's 50 awardees including Big Bang and 2NE1 on its official Twitter, Monday, along with their music videos.
This year's awardees include Sam Smith, Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Big Sean, Ed Sheeran and Lady Gaga.
Award recipients were selected based on the clicks of users and fans over the past six years, according to YouTube.
The list of award recipients is available for view at the YouTube music awards website, www.youtube.com/musicawards.
Last year, Girls' Generation won the Music Video of the Year award with "I Got a Boy."
This year, YouTube decided to reveal the whole list without nominating by categories. Instead of holding an award ceremony, new music videos of award recipients will be revealed online.
